After a strong start to the season, Sidabras has not only enjoyed consistent pace but also flawless reliability\u2014something every rallycross driver knows is never guaranteed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For Sidabras, however, leading the standings doesn&#8217;t change the mindset.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;Every year my goal is to fight for the championship. This year is no different.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Three rounds into the season, everything has gone according to plan. With no technical setbacks and solid performances throughout the opening races, he couldn&#8217;t be happier with the way the championship has unfolded so far.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;I&#8217;m very happy with the start of my season. We haven&#8217;t had any issues with the car, and now I&#8217;m leading the championship. I&#8217;ll do my best to keep it that way until the end of the season.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">One of the reasons Sidabras enjoys the BMW RX3000 category so much is the close competition. With the cars being closely matched, the outcome is often decided by the driver rather than outright performance.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;The cars are very equal, which allows us to have really close racing and gives the drivers a chance to show their skills. And of course, we can&#8217;t forget the best part \u2013 BMWs are rear-wheel drive!&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">While many drivers spend countless hours working on their own race cars, Sidabras is fortunate to have an experienced team around him.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;Our mechanics are very strong, so I mainly focus on discussing the setup and finding improvements for the car.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Preparation away from race weekends has also evolved. Much of his training now happens virtually before moving to the real circuit.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;Most of my testing is done at home using my simulator, and before every race we have an official test session at the track.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Asked about his favourite circuit in the Baltic Championship, Sidabras admits he prefers tracks with more asphalt than gravel. Choosing just one favourite isn&#8217;t easy, though.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;Bikernieki is usually where I perform the best, while Vilky\u010diai is my home track. Mina keskendun peamiselt auto seadistuse arutamisele ning v\u00f5imalike uuenduste leidmisele.&#8221;<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Rajale j\u00f5uab ta enne v\u00f5istlusi k\u00fcll, kuid suur osa ettevalmistusest toimub hoopis kodus simulaatoril.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;Enamiku treeningutest teen kodus simulaatoriga.
